To those who've seen my latest deviation [link] you would've seen my note that I broke my camera last May 31 taking pictures of the fireworks show.

We had a company outing at the Caliraya Re-creation Center last weekend, and I totally regretted not being able to bring my trusy Nikon along. I had to make do with ~Ryunaito's company camera, an old Canon Ixus, which ran out of batt as soon as we got to the place.

So last tuesday, I took a whole day off to run my personal errands and brought my baby Nikon to Columbia Photo Services in Cubao to get it checked. HariNgDuga and RndBau were telling me that maybe my camera just needed to be reset. An officemate, however, told me there's a high chance that I've used up all the shutter life of my cam.

The verdict: complete replacement of shutter motor (Php 7,400.00)

I cry. :'(

ON a good note, I get my camera back tomorrow. \o/ ~Ryunaito, who is taking a birthday leave off work, will pick it up. While I won't get to see my baby until 50pm, it would be good to know I can shoot pics again.

But that's still a whopping 7.4k >3< That's like almost half of my monthy income.

On top of that, inspired by a conversation with an old officemate, I went to check the price for the 18-200mm lens which I've been wanting for a long time. Checking online, the prices are around 40k. When I checked Columbia, their price was at 60k+! I almost died.

So far, half of the year has already gone, and I've been a very bad and expensive little girl. I wonder if its backlash from not being able to spend so much when I lost my job last year? Whatever is the cause, I need to get a handle on it soon, or else I won't ever reach my dream of financial freedom.

We are, however, still looking to find a partner for our dear Simon. I found a beautiful silver kitty online named Monti being sold by her owner for 9k. We must consider this very carefully.

The wedding is done and over, and I'm here lazing around in the house in between pestering ~Ryunaito to take me out and air me XD

So I welcome the new year with 4 new deviations of my kitty Simon XD YAY FOR ME!

I've got a few other pics of new restaurants I've been to lately, but I haven't finished sorting them out yet. I'll make an update once I update my other art storage as well. ^_^

My guild, E.C.O. UNIT, will be back at LU Live 2008!

No new artsies this year though, since we're all busy and stuff. ~_~ But help us out, will ya? I need to have responses to this poll.

It's been 7 months since my last post, so I figured I might as well give you guys an update.

My NikonD40X is just 1 month away from being 1 year old. :3 It feels so nostalgic, especially since my people around me have started buying Nikon D40Xs as well. Looking at all my stuff, I figure I'm never gonna be a pro photographer, unless I get over my obsessive compulsive workaholic behavior XD

Either case, all camera related expenses must be set aside for important things - like my future house with ~Ryunaito :3 The plans are already on their way, so I'm glad we ca finally start planning the actual wedding soon. I just hope ~Ryunaito 's work schedule clears up a bit so I can drag him around to places and stuff for the wedding.

Personally, I'm still worried about how we will ever manage once we're on our own together. I hope it will come to us naturally, just the way our relationship has pieced together for the past 7 years. :3

Which reminds me... I should start planning for something grand :3 It's gonna be our 7th year anniversary on May 7!
